Homemade gifts are the best. They often consist of standard cabinet items, so you may not even have to put on pants or leave the kitchen to be done with your holiday shopping! But even if you do have to go to the grocery store, I can assure you these are all gift ideas that will leave you with plenty of $$$ for important things for yourself, like
wine toothpaste. Just be sure to always list all ingredients, in case your friend forgot to mention they’re deathly allergic to peanuts/ isn’t eating sugar/ is Scrooge.
Not sure what to give your mother? Did you just find out someone you thought was an acquaintance not only thinks of you as a friend, but has also gotten you a holiday gift? Does your S.O. love cookies? Almost Cookie Jar is foolproof.
Saltine Toffee is the perfect solution when you need to make a million of something but don’t want to resort to truffles from Stop and Shop. (Say it with me now: “oh hello professor, I just wanted to turn in my final AND ALSO give you a box of this beautiful handmade toffee”).
Ditto these DIY Peanut Butter Cups (try getting really fancy and use almond butter instead)
Is there a vegan in your life (or secret santa exchange) and you just have no idea what they want? I dare that person not to be touched when homemade Date Cream or Almond Butter shows up with their name on it!
Chai in a Jar: using my recipe for Chai, combine all the dry spices and tea bags in a small jar. Include instructions and additional ingredients in a festive tag!
Now this isn’t a technically a gift one should eat (though you 100% could!), but Honey Lemon Salt Scrub is still handmade in the kitchen and would make anyone super happy.
And finally, I’ve never met anyone who wasn’t happy to be gifted cookies, so take a scroll through the archives and pick your favorite!
